The Yacht Club Italiano Racing Team brings together young athletes engaged in a structured and continuous sporting path. Active in the Optimist, ILCA, 420, Windsurf, J/70, and Kitefoil classes, the team takes part in national and international regattas throughout the year. Over time, this training journey has led to numerous qualifications for Italian, European, World, and Olympic Championships.

At the start of the new year, CONI (the Italian National Olympic Committee) officially awarded Luigi Monaco di Arianello the Silver Star for Sporting Merit for 2023, in recognition of his distinguished service in sports management.

With this honor, the national sports organization not only acknowledges his outstanding skills and the results he has achieved, but also wishes to express its deep gratitude for the generous collaboration and unwavering commitment he has dedicated to the sport of sailing over so many years of service.

The General Management of the Yacht Club Italiano, together with the countless sailors who have competed under Luigi’s vigilant and attentive eye — a constant and reliable presence on the many racecourses he has always managed brilliantly — wholeheartedly join in this recognition.
