Important Italian appointments at the helm of the CIM – Comité International de la Méditerranée du Yachting Classique, the historic international organization founded in 1926 and a key reference for classic sailing in the Mediterranean.

The new Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 term, elected on March 19 at the Yacht Club de Monaco, sees Italy holding the presidency, the vice-presidency, and two positions on the council. Luigi “Gigi” Rolandi, President of the Associazione Italiana Vele d’Epoca and Member of Yacht Club Italiano, was elected President, while Francesco Foppiano, also our Member and Director of Culture and Library at the Club, was confirmed as Vice President.

Representing Yacht Club Italiano, one of the founding Members of the CIM, our President Carlo Cameli attended the Monaco assembly.
A highly significant achievement that further confirms our Club’s role on the international classic yachting stage.
