A great performance by our member Alessandra Dubbini, sailing with Giacomo Ferrari, at the French Olympic Week in Hyères, the second stage of the Sailing Grand Slam for Olympic classes.
The Italian crew finished in an excellent fourth place, also ranking as the top Italian team, confirming their position among the leaders of the 470 class at the start of the Olympic campaign toward the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
The bay of Hyères lived up to its reputation, offering challenging and variable conditions: days of strong Mistral alternated with light-wind races, free pumping, and highly technical regattas.
For Dubbini and Ferrari, it was an extremely solid week: a tenth place as their worst result and as many as four race wins, including a standout victory in the final Medal Race.
The road to Los Angeles 2028 now continues with the upcoming World Championships, scheduled in Enoshima (JPN) from 10 to 17 August.
